SUCCESSFUL FARMING® LAUNCHES FIRST-EVER SHOW DEVOTED TO FARM MACHINERY IN HIGH-DEFINITION TV

The Successful Farming Machinery Show will utilize multi-media tools to reach farmers and ranchers.

Des Moines, Iowa (August 14, 2007) – Successful Farming will launch the first-ever agricultural program solely devoted to farm machinery for farmers and ranchers presented in high-definition (HD) television. Premiering November 1, 2007, The Successful Farming Machinery Show will air four times a week for 18 weeks on RFDTV and on RFD-HD. The program will focus on what’s new in machinery, machinery technology, farm shops, ATV’s and tools.  The show will bring to life some of the most popular pages in Successful Farming magazine, including Machinery Pete, All Around the Farm, and Top Shops®.  These informative programs airing each week will provide farmers with information they need to know about machinery to make their farm or ranch more successful.

Hosted by Dave Mowitz, machinery editor for Successful Farming, The Successful Farming Machinery Show programming will include special segments from contributing hosts — including Laurie Potter, new products editor for Successful Farming; Greg “Machinery Pete” Peterson, used equipment and auction price information expert; and Roger Welsch — to engage viewers through a mix of expert advice and humor. Mowitz says of the show “The Successful Farming Machinery Show is sure to be an instant hit with viewers.”

“The program extends the content our readers find in the pages of Successful Farming and Agriculture Online (www.agriculture.com) to a TV audience with expert interviews and live demonstrations,” says Scott Mortimer, publisher of Successful Farming. “Our readers rely on Successful Farming to be their machinery authority and to serve their diverse information needs, and The Successful Farming Machinery Show is yet another avenue for them to tap into our valuable editorial content.”

The Successful Farming Machinery Show provides advertisers a tremendous opportunity to connect with viewers and to promote their products,” says Mortimer. “Our magazine, our Web site and The Successful Farming Machinery Show will provide an integrated approach to reach the American farmer and rancher.”
